Catch All Sever
My server is definitely becoming a catch-all machine. Not a problem as I need to see how things work. Exchange 2010 is not suitable with the existing stack, so its going to be virtualized is a separate VM once I upgrade my server better. Server 2008 R2, IIS, DNS roles SharePoint 2010 SQL Server 2008 R2 Team Foundation Server (Visual Studio) So looking at Windows update, I noticed a Windows Update Server, is that very demanding on storage? As the number of virtual machines grows, it would save $ on internet bandwidth Windows MVP, XP, Vista, 7. Expanding into Windows Server 2008 R2, SQL Server, SharePoint etc. I feel badly for my American friends who have to endure the extremists in Washington who are bankrupting the nation over ideology. Hello, included in Windows server 2008 and higher is the known version from WSUS. And depending on the configuration settings it require lot space for the update files. Even if you configure it to download only approved updates then it will still grow.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hi, You may try to install these virtual machines to see how much space each of them will take. And then multiplied by the number of virtual machines you need to know how much space is required. In addition, you will also leave some hard disk space for installing other software. You may also spend some time to install all the necessary software and updates to count the required space.
