I am upgrading to SCVMM 2012R2. I would like to add the two Hyper-V Hosts to this SCVMM. When I try to install an agent it gives me an error that indicate that a previous agent is installed. I checked on the control panel and it is not installed..

The server sees a SCVMM agent installation and I cannot see it. What can I do?

You might check in the Uninstall registry if you can find the agent. Then use the uninstall string to remove the agent.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Other option is to copy the old agent msi to the server and try to run agent.msi /x
