Cannot resolver DNS names
Hi, I've a windows server 2008 which is DC in mydomain. I've created a forward lookup zone with another domain called ydomain. In this zone I've included the dc of the ydomain and pinging with the ip of whatever server of ydomain it works fine but using the name of those server it fails. Only the dc names work fine. Doing "nslookup -q=any ydomain" the only thing I see strange is that the 'primary name server' is the domain controller of mydomain and I thing it should be the dc of ydomain. Can anybody help to fix the problem and being able to resolve by name? Thanks in advance. Regards.

not 100% sure of the goal. If you want to be able to resolve ydomain names from your mydomain net, id configure a conditional forwarder in your mydomain dns, forwarding ydomain name requests to the dc in ydomain (see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc794735(v=ws.10).aspx )
