Hi,
I am not 100% sure of this response so please bear with me!
As far as I am aware, this issue is due to windows group policy.
This article is intended for Windows XP, however 2003 being a similar environment I recon the steps may be similar -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894351
Give it a go, but don't do anything that doesnt make sense :-)
As I said im not 100% sure, perhaps someone else can comment?

Hi Bram88,
Thank you for your post.
Please search evntagnt.dl_ file in your OS CD and point installer to the file(like F:\I386\evntagnt.dl_).

Hi Bram88,
Thank you for your updates.
install snmp on windows server 2003 enterprise R2 x64 even I have put the correct CD
No idea about this issue except verifying the correct CD not damaged.
Please find this file(evntagnt.dll 64 bit version) from other SNMP installed servers or Internet, copy the file to your server and point it to installer.
Test to install/reinstall SNMP on other server via the correct OS CD to exclude the CD has not been damaged
If there are more inquiries on this issue, please feel free to let us know.Regards,

hi rick,
i have did all your advice about find the evntagnt file from other server then copied to the "trouble server", and now the evntagnt file can be copied sucessfully, but then i got another problem that is :
"setup could not copy one or more files, the specific, error code is 0x5. press ok to continue or cancel to stop the setup and try again. if you continue the components may not function properly "
and i select ok to continue the installation, but there is another error comes up "could not install the simple network management protocol because a file or registry entry is missing"
i have searching the error code 0x5 from internet, and i founded that this error is because
invalid registry entries and outdated or corrupt drivers (refer to http://www.pc-library.com/errors/error-code/5-0x5/) and they recommended me to using driverscanner application to find out the real problem, but why i cannot install
it, everytime i want to installed these following error always occurred
"an error occurred while trying to rename a file in the destination directory; movefile failed; code 5. Access is denied"
any more suggestion?

Hi Bram88,
"setup could not copy one or more files, the specific, error code is 0x5..."
The error shows that some files installed does not meet system requirement.
http://www.pc-library.com/errors/error-code/5-0x5/
The scan tool does not include Windows 2003 OS.
There should be some system files broken, just two suggestions:
1. Run "sfc /scannow" command to repair your system file, then reinstall SNMP
2. Boot from your windows 2003 CD, repair install your OS
Hope it helpful to you.Regards,

Hi Bram,
1. Just type command "sfc /scannow" in start-run, insert windows 2003 CD, mentioned in KB929833
2. Repair install your OS, please refer to How to Repair Your Installation of Windows
in KB325375
These are no impact after you do these two repair operation.Regards,
