Cannot delete folder in server 2003
There was a folder that had a trailing space that i could not delete. When I went to check the permissions on the file, there was no security tab (mstsc into the virtual server). I tried using some utilities like cacls and subinacl but those keep saying
access is denied. I think I might have been able to get rid of the trailing space, but i still cannot access the folder or change any permissions. Any help you be great. Thanks!

Hi,
Have you tried deleting it from the command prompt
del "filename_end_inspace "

check if the security tab is still missing after a reboot (seen this before, reboot sometimes fixed it)
also try to see if chkdsk reports any ntfs errors

You can also use Xcacls.exe to modify and to view NTFS permissions for files or folders.
This step-by-step article describes how to use the Extended Change Access Control List tool (Xcacls.exe) to modify and to view NTFS permissions for files or folders:

Turned out that the folder was "in use". Went to shares>open files> and closed it out and I was able to delete it just fine. Thanks for the pointers!
