I am using vista home premium, we are trying to access a remote server using desktop. Error message keeps coming up Remote desktop connection has stopped working sub note says date execution prevention has closed remote desktop connection. Problem is intermetiant. Can access same exact site from computer running XP Pro. Can not exclude remote desktop exe file says must eb working. Any ideas

Try disabling DEP then try to access the server via Remote Desktop. Made changes as you suggested, thanks for not laughing.Problem is still occuring 80% of the time, however i was able to get all the way in several times, t but no longer says the cause is DEP in secondary box now only gives primary box.Serve is MS server 2003 and there is no problem still acessing from XP machine, any more ideas

also just noticed that when I bring up remote desktop and the connection is sucessful i can make the conection over and over with no problem. However when i exit back to blank screen and reclick remote desktop this new version may or may not work if it does it works each time (5 trys) if not it fails evertime (5 trys)
