Cannot access files from shared folders
Support, I recently added a server 2003 machine (AppSvr) running terminal services to a customers network. Their network is comprised of a Primary Server (SVR2) running Server 2003 Standard and the workstations. I can access the setup files and databases from the workstations with no issues. The problem is when I log onto the Appsvr as Administrator and browse the network to the shared folders, I can see the files but when I try to access the setup.exe it gives me an error saying " Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the file.". Since I am logging in as administrator I should have access to these files. I have double checked the permissions on the shares and for the account and I see no problems. Hopefully someone can help me figure this out, I am at wits end on this. If I can find a solution, then all that is left is to install the apps I want to the application server. That is my primary goal. Thanks, Aaron R.
