Cannot access a secure site
Hi, I am having trouble accessing a secure (https) site from any workstation on the network.Other https site will work. I have workstations running windows XP pro and a windows 2003 Standard server. For some reason I cannot access a particular secure site regardless of the browser being used. (IE, Mozilla and Chrome). It does not matter if i logon to the workstation as administrator. If I logon to the server directly it works perfectly using IE and Mozilla. It just will not work from any workstation. I have also tried the following, Turned off IE enhanced security on the server. Deleted temp files, cookies etc on the workstation and server. disabled any firewalls on the workstations. Restarted server, workstations, modems , switches I just cannot work out why it will not work. Is it possible a group policy setting on the server could be stopping it. any help would be appreciated.

Hi, What is the error message when you trying to access the secure site? You may try to add this secure site to Internet Explorer trusted sites list. Please also check the GPMC log to make sure there is no Group Policy blocks the secure site. Collect GPMC log ============== 1. On domain controller, click Start -> Run, type GPMC.MSC, it will load the GPMC console. If the GPMC snap-in is not installed. 2. Right click on "Group Policy Result" and choose wizard to generate a report for the problematic computer and user account (please place appropriately). (Choose computer and select the proper user in the wizard) 3. Right click the resulting group policy result and click the "Save Report…" => save report. In addition, please also check if there is any TMG policy blocks it. If you use IIS to configure the secure site, I also recommend that you submit a new question to IIS for further assistance.
