Can not disconnect network drives
Hello,
I have two network drives mapped on my windows server enterprise SP2. One day their name changed to disconnected network drives, and whenever trying to access them a message pops saying:
Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. These maps can not be disconnected and whenever trying to disconnect them a message pops saying:
The network connection could not be found.
Note: We can access the network drives normally by typing their path through windows explorer and entering the user name and password.

did you change the user's password who mapped to the persistent drives prior to having this problem?

try loggin into the server with the account that created the mappings and in a command window type
example - net use f: \\servername\share /password | * /delete
this should prompt for a password and you need to type the old password. Here is the article if I got the command wrong

If this works you need to remap the drives

hello,
I used a software called "Windows Washer" that deletes mapped network drives when selected.
