Can I replicate folder shares and settings?
I'm replicating a folder between two 2008 SP1 Standard 32bit servers using DFS. That's all working great. But we have a lot of shares on the primary server that have to be recreated on the secondary server. Is there a way in Windows or some other app out there to handle this real time?

Hello, export this key from the registry:hklm/system/currentcontrolset/services/lanmanserver/sharesto a file and import it on the new server.Keep in mind before modifying the registry to make sure that you have backup in case something fails.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Hi, Agree with Meinolf that you can replicate shares using registry. For more information and detailed steps, please refer to: Saving and restoring existing Windows shares http://support.microsoft.com/kb/125996 Regards, Bruce
