Can I connect to my server remotely from Internet?
I have a Windows 2008 R2 serve and I am so daft in using it I don't even know if I can connect to my server remotely via a browser or via a Remote Desktop Connection. I have done research online but all my searches come up with something else. Please assist if you know a good article on the subject or can guide my way... Thanks,

Hello, yes, in your internet router configure forwarding to the internal ip address from the server for the required port 3389 is normally used from RDC. Then you can use either a free dynamic DNS name as DynDNS or similar provided and register that with your router.Best regards Meinolf Weber MVP, MCP, MCTS Microsoft MVP - Directory Services My Blog: http://msmvps.com/blogs/mweber/ Disclaimer: This posting is provided AS IS with no warranties or guarantees and confers no rights.
