Hi All I am trying to insall an RODC on server 2008. I have virtual Machine on which I have two Server one is SERVER01 which is Main server My another server BRANCHSERVER on which I want to install an RODC . Both Server are connected properly. On the BRANCHSERVER in run box I type Dcpromo in order to install RODC. Active Directory domain installation wizard appears and I click on next when I chose an Exisisting forest and chose the first option which is "Add a domain to an exisisting domain" then I click on next and type the name of the domain which is CONTOSO.COM and click on set when I type the CONTOSO\Administrator and enter the same password I use for admin account the other server (SERVER01) after doing enter when I click on next I get an error msg . An Active Directory Domain - controller for the domain contoso.com could not be connected Ensure that the DNS domain name typed correctly . I am sure I typing the right password. Please help troubleshoot this issue
