Can't see all networks through microsoft networks
Have many remote microsoft networks, some are domains and some are workgroups. Have wins servers at the core and master browsers on each remote network. But can only see some networks, although wins shows all domains and workgroups within database. Also wins servers can only see some of these networks, but not the same ones I can see?

Hi Jefferyj40, Thanks for posting here. After reading your post I understand this is an incomplete browse list issue . If I misunderstand please let me know. Here are some suggestions: 1. Please make sure all master browsers server in each network is not multi-homed first , because this is one of possible reason that could cause this issue: Symptoms of multihomed browsers http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;191611 2. Check for NetBIOS name resolution to each other segment master browsers on your Core wins server. 3. How these networks be connected , via router or other devices ? If yes ,please check for third party applications or devices that may be blocking the NetBIOS datagrams from the client to the Segment Master Browser or from the Segment Master Browser to core wins server (Firewall, AV, NIC Teaming, etc.) For more information please refer to the links below: 300986 How To Diagnose and Test TCP/IP or NetBIOS Network Connections in Windows 2000 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;300986 323388 How To Diagnose and Test TCP/IP or NetBIOS Network Connections in Windows Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;323388 Thanks.
