Can't print PDF files, only a few minutes after restart print spooler

A customer of mine have a problem that they can't print PDF files on a terminal server, other files/document can be print without any problems. After a restart of the print spooler it's working to print PDF files but a moment later the problem is back again. The reader they have installed is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. When we send PDF files to the printer Event Viewer is giving a PrintService message that the print is send correct as a job was sent through the print processor winprint on printer ... no errors in Event Viewer and no pdf printed.. :(

1. Printers are mapped via group policy
2. Print spooler shows as running
3. No error in event log.
4. Doesn't always happen.

The customer is working on 3 terminal servers installed with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (64-bit)

Any idea how to solve this or have any experience with this issue?

It's a driver problem or a printer problem. As a printer without a postscript module will easily fail on PDF. Try PS driver if you can, else try a universal's driver.

Be aware that some low-end printer just can't print PDF due to the fact it can't process the PDF's correctly. (a 500k PDF can finish at 200m in a spooler for such printer)

To bypass that problem, if you don't have any more driver to test & you can't change the printer, check in the option menu when you print to print it as a image. You loose PDI, but the printout is sent like a jpeg that way.
