Can't install System Update Readiness Tool
I have scoured the net trying to find a resolution to this problem. I need to install the System Update Readiness Tool (KB947821) to diagnose a problem where Server Manager will not allow me to add features or roles.
When I try to install the System Update Readiness Tool I get a message stating that the update failed and the details of the error is "Code 9370001."
My system is Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 x64. I downloaded Windows6.0-KB947821-v12-x64.msu so I am sure I downloaded the correct file.
Windows Update does download and install updates without a problem. Although, I have tried many methods in relation to Windows Update to resolve this problem with the System Update Readiness Tool.
There is no %windir%\logs\cbs\checksur.log file present on my computer, so I can't post it's contents.
I have tried the suggestion by Mike Burr on this
thread to run the tool manually but that didn't yield any results.
Does anyone have any information they can provide that might help me along?
Thanks,
Joe

Hi,
After resetting Windows Update components, please try to install the System Update Readiness Tool in Clean Boot manually. For the detailed steps, please
refer to the following Microsoft KB article:

If the issue persists, you may run System File Checker Tool to scan the system for corrupted files. You may refer to the following Microsoft KB article
