Can't get Integration services to run on two different machines

Hello,

I've been on this for days and can't seem to find a solution.

I'm running server 2012 r2 and have created 2 virtual machines. One is a disk2vhd with the virtual preparation tag checked (server 2003). The other is a windows XP install created from scratch as a VM. Both machines boot and operate (for the most part) correctly. However, on both machines the following services fail at boot:

The Hyper-v heartbeat service

The Hyper-v data exchange service

The Hyper-v guest shutdown service

The Hyper-v time syncronization service

All of them fail with the same error:

the specified procedure could not be found.

I've tried to repair the integration services install, but it has no effect on either machine.

Anyone have a clue what's happening?
