Iwas able toconnect to a remote computer (with XPProfessional) and access all the files from my home PC (with XP OS)I turned off my PC at night, the next morning I can't connect to the remote PC any more.I recalled if I moved the mouse on the remote PC, then the connection was ok again. But I can't call someone to move the mouse every time if there is a connection problem. How do I fixt this? Thanks,

Hello, Seems that your remote pc is going into the standby mode which makes it unavailable untill you move the mouse. To disable the suspend mode please do the following.Start by going to the Start Menu and then selecting the Control Panel. Once in the Control panel go to Power Options. Thanks and Hopw it worksSyed Khairuddin

If group policy is setting this on the remote PC, you can try to enable all the "Wake On" settings of the computer on the BIOS. You should be, then, able to wake the PC up remotely (via a magic packet ping, for example).Regards,Salvador Manaois III MCSE MCSA CEH MCITP | Enterprise/Server Admin Bytes & Badz : http://badzmanaois.blogspot.com
