Using Essentials 2012 R2. I have the ISO from 2012 non-R2, however is there a way to restore a computer from CD with the R2 version? I have a computer that the USB and wired network ports are dead and only the DVD drive is still working.

By restore do you mean from a windows server backup?

It has to be the same as in R2 or actually windows 8.1 will also work (I am pretty sure)

What good will it do you to restore it if the network is dead and you cant use it I ponder.....
