CA web enrollment premission error - Server 2008R2
Hi all, I have here CA server (Win2k8R2) which are integrated in the domain. Everything works so far, however CA web enrollment has problems. When i try to request a certificate from local or another computer using http(s)://server/certsrv i get No certificate templates could be found. You do not have permission to request a certificate from this CA, or an error occurred while accessing the Active Directory. I think this is normal there URL names is wrong (http(s)://server/certsrv), it would be correct http(s)://server.domain.local/certsrv. However if i try this with http(s)://server.domain.local/certsrv and DOMAIN\USRER PASS, i get after three attempts this error message. HTTP-Error 401.1 - Unauthorized No credentials are available in the security package (0x8009030e) Possibly an idea? Thanks for each assistance. Stefan

Well the easiest thing to do is do basic IIS troubleshooting. Change the SSL Settings on your certsrv site to "ignore" user certificate. I believe that was an issue I had a long time ago when setting up the CertSrv site. Because the user doesn't have their certificate yet, you can't require it. Hope that helps! Hi Steve, Thanks for the hint. However this was already deactivated on "certsrv" site (default CA Installation).

Hi StefanSa, Please check setting regarding KB811418 for "No Certificate Templates Could Be Found" error. BTW, could client use mmc certificates to request new CA? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811418Regards, Rick Tan
