CACLS or ICACLS
Hi everybody In my company we have around 200 XP clients in workgroup and in different locations , so we cant use active directory group policy to modify ACLs for some folders, the idea is using calcs command to copy these ACLs to other computer, but
as long as cacls doesnt support special access permission like synchronize, read control, ... etc, so was better to use icacls for exporting and restoring these ACLs so the command look like this icacls c:\folder name /save a.bin /t , icacls c:\folder
name /restore a.bin But the main problem is that icacls it is built in windows vista, 7, 2008 , not windows xp, and online is not available for download So is there away or alternative option to solve this issue Thanks and regards

On XP and before, have you tried using the xcacls command:

It is included with the XP support tools,

You can also consider SubInACL (SubInACL.exe):

Run subinacl /? To get more instructions.
