By using XP Remote Desktop, Copying 166MB size file from or to Windows 2008 server are really SLOW SLOW..
Recently, I would like to build up a website server in Windows 2008 server and I did some testing after 2008 server was installed.I tested Window XP copying a large size(166MB) via Remote Desktop in 4 different OS(XP, Vista, Window 2003 server & Window 2008 Server).It really shocked me that WHY combination of XP & Windows 2008 serverare far slow than other combinations. Please explain why this is happening, and how can I improve it? Hello :Which method do you use for sharing the files ? 1-sharind a drive or folder on the server and connecting to it ?2-Mapping a drive from remote desktop connection tool "? ( MSTSC)I recommand you to test remote desktop local resources section to map your drive on the server , you will find it on the options button in remote desktop utility. Network is my LOVE
