Bug in Volume Shadow Copy scheduling
This "bug" has been duplicated on two different 2008 Servers (one 32-bit and another 64-bit).I have a requirement to set VSS to operate every hour from 7:00am to 9:00pm each day. This works fine on all 2003 Server installations I have performed this on. On 2008 Server the tasks runs each hour for 24 hours, ie. it doesn't stop at 9:00pm!No matter how I set the end time (start time 7:00am), either by settng the"Duration" to14 hours, or setting the "Until" time to 9:00pm, the task runs every hour of every day.The Task Schedule created by VSS reads -"At 7:00 AM every day - After triggered, repeat every 1 hour for a duration of 14:00:00."As already mentioned, I have performed this on dozens of 2003 Server installations without a problem, but can't make it work correctly under 2008 Server. Anyone have any suggestions?Shane.

Hello David,Thank-you for your reply. YES, the Hotfix corrected the problem. Sorry I didn't find the solution on my own however I did research it as much as possible before posting.Interestingly, both the 32 & 64 bit installations are completely up to date with Service Packs etc, I would have thought MS would have included this fix in at least one of the updates? Thanks again.Shane.
