Bug in SSRS 2008

I have a working report in SSRS 2005 which has 4 subreports. In one of the subreport, we have a tablix and the property of the rectangle is set as "Add a page break" as checked.

We recently migrated the reports from SSRS 2005 to SSRS 2008. Now when the report is run, we get an error as - "

  • An error occurred during rendering of the report. (rrRenderingError)
    • An error occurred during rendering of the report.
      • Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index"

Can you help us in this?

We have fixed the error by un-checking the option - "Add a page break", but we need to add a page break after this sub report. Is there any other alternative or fix for this.

Let me know if you need more details

Hi Kedar,

According to your description, if the subreport has a rectangle with Add a page break before, the report will occur an error, right?

In Reporting Services, if drag the subreport with page break into a tablix in main report, the page break cannot work without throwing error. In your scenario, I want to know how you design the report with that 4 subreports. I suggest you open the subreport with page break directly to see if it can be rendered properly. If subreport cannot render, you should check settings on  tablix and the rectangle. Please refer to a similar thread: R2 Page breaks.

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
