Bug Report
Dear MS Server 2008 Team: I'm using RC1 of Server 2008 Standard Edition and have run across a problem that has been driving me crazy. Here is how to reproduce it: 1. Install Standard Edition with all defaults. 2. Enable Remote Desktop (ensure firewall). 3. Go to your workstation and login via RDP. 4. Change the server name to something else (ie. from the default STANDARD-2kjdfjdk to MailServer01) 5. Reboot. You will find that the Remote Desktop has been disabled and you can't get back in. This requires a wasted time trip back to the datacenter to re-enable Remote Desktop. Can we get this fixed? Thanks!

You can fix it by enabling Remote Desktop remotely again. Although the information is written for Windows Server 2003, I've used it several times on Windows Server 2008 full and Server Core installations. It works like a charm and saves you the physical exercise we all try to avoid. If you want to file a bug report, please do so here.
