Brother ADS-2000 Scanner will not scan on RDS 2012 Server

We have a Brother ADS-2000 Scanner that works great on a local Windows 7 PC. We have configured RemoteFX with our 2012 RDS server and the device is seen and detected in the terminal server session. The problem is when we try to scan from the RDS session we receive an error stating that the device is not connected. (See Below)

When we try to scan from the Paint application we get:

"Unable to retrieve picture from device. verify the device is properly connected and try again."

We've updated the drivers on the local machine and like I said the scanner is seen in the Remote session, it just won't scan? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Did you install the Brother driver on your server?  If not you could start with the driver only and if that does not solve it try the full package.  On Brother's site I do not see Server 2012 listed so you can try Windows 8 64-bit if your server is 2012 and Windows 8.1 64-bit if your server is 2012 R2.

The software was called TSScan. We purchased the software from here.
