Biztalk 2010 with Oracle 12C

Hi All,

My Client is using a third party application which uses Oracle 11g as database. I developed BizTalk application using BizTalk 2010. The application is polling data from Oracle and update data in some other databases. I am using one receive port to poll data from oracle and send port "WCF-Custom" to call some stored procedures in Oracle database.

Now that 3rd application has updated its database from 11g to 12c. BizTalk 2010 polling is running fine but stored procedures in WCF-Custom send port giving exception System. Not supported exception. Please help, how can I fix this issue without upgrading BizTalk2010 to BizTalk2013

Thanks

Dinesh

Dinesh,

As per my knowledge BizTalk 2010 not supported to Oracle 12c.

For the Oracle Database Adapter

  • Supported server versions: Oracle database version 11.1, Oracle database version 10.2, Oracle database version 10.1, Oracle database version 9.2
  • Supported client versions: Oracle Data Access Components for Oracle Client 11.1.0.6 with Patch Set 11.1.0.7, Oracle Data Access Components for Oracle Client 11.1.0.7

Please refer Microsoft BizTalk Adapter Pack 2010 Documentation

Hi,

I don't think Oracle 12 C is being supported by BizTalk 2010.

For any work around best option is to connect with MS support Team

Thanks

Rule of thumb:

No product released after the release of a certain BizTalk Server version will be supported by that BizTalk Server version.

Do you mean that even BizTalk 2013R2 do not support oracle 12C (12.1.0.2)?

Dines,

Oracle 12C is NOT officially supported by Microsoft with BizTalk 2013/BizTalk 2013R2. You might be able to do the integration but it is not officially supported.

Oracle 12C was officially released in July 2014, and BizTalk 2013 R2 was released in May 2014. As correctly mentioned by La Cour, No product released after the release of a certain BizTalk Server version will be supported by that BizTalk Server version.

You have marked the wrong answer at Does Biztalk 2013 or 2013R2 support Oracle 12C?
