Bizarre shared folder behaviour
I have a network-shared folder on a Windows Server 2008 Enterprise machine. On another computer, I can see some of the files in the folder, but not all of them - some of the more recent files aren't appearing. At first I thought it was my machine not refreshing the folder contents, but if I add a new file to the folder (e.g. right-click > New > Text Document) then this file is visible on the remote computer.I'm not 100% sure, but I think the difference is that the files and folders that aren't appearing have been cut and paste into the shared folder from elsewhere on the same server hard drive, and then renamed. Whether or not this is the cause is another matter.Does anyone know why this is occurring, and how to fix it? I have tried un-sharing, and re-sharing the folder, but to no avail. :(Thanks.

Have you checked the NTFS file permissions on the files that do not display? I have seen instances on shares where inheritance did not occur, and some individual files did not display in a share because the user browsing the share did not have access to the file in question.
