Bitlocker issue - regarding to KB2799926

Hi

My customers encounter a case regarding to BitLocker encryption failed.

After checked from Microsoft tech forum, I found two related articals.

  • https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/1267e05c-0a66-4979-b9ba-b8a87b560533/bitlocker-issue-unable-to-encrypt-the-os-drive-all-other-drives-are-ok

And after remove the KB2799926, the encryption failed case is resolved also.

Originally the KB2799926 seems to fix the USB detected related problems. It's strange that after removed the KB2799926, the BitLokcer works successful...Is it a side effect with the update?

Although we found the solution with this issue, my customers need to remove the KB2799926 manually now, it is inconvenience.

Does there any hotfix to fix this issue? In the mean time after that my customers don't need to remove the KB2799926 when they turn on the BitLocker functions.

Thanks,

Iverson.

Since this appears to be a bug with that hotfix your best option here is to
open a support case directly with Microsoft support. There is no charge for
bug fix support calls though if you or your customer don't have a support
agreement in place, you'll likely have to provide a credit card number up
front. Once they determine that this is a bug fix, you won't be charged for
