BitLocker pre-Provisioning Win8
Hi,
how does BitLocker handle the VMK if you use pre-Provisioning via WinPE for the Operating System Drive? Is it stored in the TPM or on a connected USB Stick? Or will it be created when you enable the protector after the Installation of Windows 8?
EDIT: Just tried it out by building a custom WinPE-ISO. When I run the command "manage-bde -on c:" it tells me that I must use a TPM to be able to enable BitLocker in a pre-Installation Enviroment. Therefore I assume that the VMK is stored in the TPM when
using this function. Am I correct?
Thanks and best regards,
Steven
