Hi Kirk,
I'm assuming you are using
Azure File Storage.
When you create Azure File Storage it allows you to choose between various replication options, which offer backup.
You could refer the following link for details of the various replication options available while creating an Azure storage account.

Yes, I'm using the Azure File Storage. I want the backup option for the purpose of being able to go retrieve the content as of X days ago. For example, if a client accidentally deleted a file and want us to recover it. As far as I understand, the replication options for Azure storage account doesn't allow this.
Hi Kirk,
In this case, you could consider using Azure Backup.
You could refer the following link for details:
http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/backup/
For Pricing details refer: http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/backup/
And for details on how to configure Azure Backup refer: http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/backup-configure-vault/

Malar.

Hi,
As far as I can tell, Azure Backup won't work as it cannot backup mapped drives. Or have I missed something?
Are there any other suggestions?

Jody

Hi Jody,
Have you been able to solve this. I sit here with exactly the same issue. I hope to solve this soon :-) - would be kind of great to have backup of the data on the mapped Azure Files drive.
Looking forward to hear from you or someone else.
Thank you.
Hi Nagamalar,
I'm with Jody here, I cannot see how this should work. Please elaborate. Thank you.
