Hello Devika, 1) What is the name of the backup file in windows server 2003? Backup files in windows server are recognized with an extension .bkf the names are defined by you. lets say that you are taking a backup of file server you the file name can be fileserverbackup.bkf if it was active ditectory may be systemstate.bkf so the names are defined accordingly with your convineince. 2) If the system is BSOD(Bluse screen of Death)? What are the steps should be taken? usually the blus screens are caused with the drivers or third party application so in order to analyze the root casue of the issue you have to analyze the windows dump file using windows debugging toolshttp://www.virmansec.com/blogs/skhairuddin

Hello, We use ntbackup utility to take the backup. To find the backup file you can search for the extension .bkf for the backup files. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc875820.aspx For BSOD as Syed said we need to analyze the STOP code. http://blogs.technet.com/b/askcore/archive/2008/11/01/how-to-debug-kernel-mode-blue-screen-crashes-for-beginners.aspx Thanks
