BSOD netio.sys...
I posted once before with the same thing here:http://forums.technet.microsoft.com/en-US/winservergen/thread/f6f73016-420c-43a8-82e4-cddba0c409ec/I wasn't able to apply the patch because the problem exists on Windows 2008 Server and not Vista as the KB describes. Does anyone know if there is a patch for 2008? My server has crashed 8 times in 3 months and ALL of the minidumps produce the same results when I do '!analyze -v' in WinDbg. Does anyone else have a suggestion? TIA!

Hello, Are you using NIC drivers for Windows Vista on the Windows Server 2008 systems? I just found some symbols relating to Windows Vista, in that dump file. If you are, I would highly suggest that you first contact the NIC driver vendors or manufacturers to get the proper drivers particularly for Windows Server 2008. Saying this is because, we do have seen some similar problems, and most of them are caused by the incompatible driver. Please note that even you can successfully install drivers for Windows Vista on the Windows Server 2008 systems, they may cause some potential problems. Most of these problems can easily be resolved after updating the driver. If this is not the case, I would suggest that you contact our Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) to analyze the dump file to find out the root cause. You can speak directly with a Microsoft Support Professional to analyze the crash dump.
