BCDR scenario for Exchange 2013 on Azure

I have an Exchange Server 2013 residing on a virtual machine on Hyper-V on premise.

I need to secure my environment to prevent major data loss in case of disaster.

How can I make use of Azure services to achieve this? We have considered ASR, but it doesn't look feasible as the amount of data transferred on each change replication is very large (100-200GB).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Megi

Using ASR to replicate Exchange 2013 to Azure is actually not supported.

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/site-recovery-overview/

So you will have to use the built-in replication mechanism related to Exchange 2013, named DAG.

DAG (Database Availability Group) will create  databases replica in another server. In case you lost the first server, you can promote the second server as active (Technically, we set the database to active not the server)

Learn about Exchange DAG here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/Dd979799%28v=EXCHG.150%29.aspx
