Azure SQL Database: Vertically Scale down or up.

Hi, how below error can be achieved to work on both Primary DB which has the Secondary DB?

Set-AzureSqlDatabase : The source database 'aotujdirng.GSSC_DIT' cannot have higher performance level than the target

database 'c48s0x75c1.GSSC_DIT'. Upgrade the performance level on the target before upgrading source.

At Set-AzureSqlDatabaseEdition:71 char:71

Let me know if you need more information on the same.

Product specific questions should be posted in the product support forum.  Since this is a product configuration issue you should post it in the Azure forum.

Hello Divakar,

If you are using GEO replication, and you want to scale up your database, you have to scale up the secondary database first. Only then you can scale up the Primary.

Thanks,

Jan
