Automatic Notification of new Service Pack, Security Patch, etc.

My team was just dinged by our internal auditors for not having a process to:

1.  Be notified of the release of a BizTak service pack, Cumulative Update, Security Patch, etc.

2.  Evaluate a release for update to determine if it needs to be deployed.

Question:  Does Microsoft have any time of service where I can be notified via email that a patch/update has been released for BizTalk 2006 - 2013?  Also applies to SQL Server 2005 - current release.

Thanks in advance,

D

Having an internal implementation of the WSUS (Windows Service Update Services) would also help. Through the Group Policy, the servers in your network can be made to look to the WSUS Server for patches and updates. The dev team can then apply the patches on the T & D and test and release/certify for relase to production.

Regards.

Unfortunately the link provided by SAAkhlaq is valid only for the BizTalk 2000 - 2004.

I think it is because there is no need to apply all Hotfixes but only related to your scenarious and environments.

I know two  places for the Hotfix lists and for the SP and CU lists.

I usually monitor new versions of the MBV (Message Box Viewer). It keeps track of the new SPs, CUs, and it knows what hotfix is recommended to install.
