AutoEnrollment Event ID 13
I've posted in the general forum about this issue and it was mentioned that I should also post here. Thank you in advance! Every 4 hours (6 per day) I am receiving an AutoEnrollment error (Event ID 13). Event Type: Error Event Source: AutoEnrollment Event Category: None Event ID: 13 Date: 5/23/2011 Time: 2:27:43 AM User: N/A Computer: WESLEY Description: Automatic certificate enrollment for local system failed to enroll for one Domain Controller certificate (0x800706ba). The RPC server is unavailable. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. I am not really sure why I am getting these errors. I tried to open up CA via Administrative Tools and got an error: Cannot Manage Certificate Services The specified service does not exist as an installed service. 0x424 (WINS32: 1060) I am receiving these errors because one of the GPO is using AutoEnrollment when it's not installed? I am using SBS 2003 SP2.

The autoenrollment of domain controller certificate is baked into the operating system. Unless you set up a CA, you can safely ignore the messages (especially running SBS) Brian

Hi Hayden, No need to install CA before you upgrade SBS server. It require to uninstall CA when you upgrade your SBS server. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverMigration/thread/6569ce37-9853-4a30-b206-5d8a3cc9ba6fRegards, Rick Tan
