Audit NTFS Directory Permissions
Hello,
I need some help to get the auditors off my back
This is a subsection of what I have been asked to providefor 30 servers:
Screen prints or output that include the following information:
i. Directory structure on the local hard drives
ii. Permissions for the directories
Terminal Server configuration information, that includes the following information:
i. Users/groups authorized to use the WTS
ii. Roles/permissions for users/groups
Im struggling to find a free utility to achieve this. Ive been told that I could use something like xcacls or subinacl for the directory permissions but the syntax just blows my mind Can anybody help me?
I have created a batch file for some of the other audit requirments that simply does this LG . -lu >%COMPUTERNAME%-GRP.TXT (It lists and dumps group membership)
Thanks in advance

Ive had a look at dumpsec and it isnt quite what I need I'll have a look through the scripts later today..
I have found showacl from the resource kit, it seems to be just what I need (So far so good).
Thanks for the reply
