Are Windows Server CALS Required for Each User of Third Party Software Installed on Windows Server 2008?

Hi, In general you have one set of CALs that access all of your Windows Servers, and then you license the server OS beyond that. You do not require CALs for anonymous connections, connections that are not authenticated using Windows or AD authentication (as is the case with something like an Oracle DB or a web application), systems that fall under another licensing model (such as per processor), or connections covered by an external connector license.
