Application deployment for Windows 7 with Server 2008
We are moving from Novell Netware-XP to Server2008R2-Windows 7 Enterprise end of this year. For the last few years I had the comfort of using Zenworks for all imaging and application deployment tasks. Now we are not gonna have any 3rd party tools for these tasks. What is the best way to deploy application when running MS suite (Server 2008) only? Is is through group policy only/any speicial MS tool? For imaging I guess I will be using MDT 2010. What about applications? thanks

Hi, You can make use of the native software deployment capabilities of GPOs: How to use Group Policy to remotely install software in Windows Server 2003 and in Windows Server 2008 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816102/en-us Alternatively, you may opt for System Center Configuration Manager 2007 for your software distribution needs.
