An application used to track CPU and memory usage on Windows 2003 and 2008 machines
Hello all, I have 200 physical machines with Windows 2003 and 2008. I lend the machines our to the developers in my company and when they are finished using them they return them. I do believe many machines aren't being used. I would like to know if there is an application out there that can track the ammount of CPU and memory usage over the span of a day. week, month etc. I go into resource monitor on a windows 2008 machine but I can't see to pull up a history on it. I don't what to track the amount of logins per machine but actually stats of usage. Any help would be great.

You might want to try System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/server-cloud/system-center/operations-manager.aspx If you have further questions on SCOM, there is a dedicated forum http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/operationsmanagergeneral/threadsI do not represent the organisation I work for, all the opinions expressed here are my own. I will download the trial and see if I can pull a report. Just wondering if anybody has used this product to track CPU usage over a period of time. Thanks,
