I have an Azure SQL server, s0ztlwmah8, located in SE Asia. I have an Azure website, located in East Asia, that is making database queries to s0ztlwmah8. All these years it has been working fine. But about five hours ago, the queries are blocked because:
Cannot open server 's0ztlwmah8' requested by the login. Client with IP address '10.62.78.64' is not allowed to access the server. To enable access, use the Windows Azure Management Portal or run sp_set_firewall_rule on the
master database to create a firewall rule for this IP address or address range. It may take up to five minutes for this change to take effect. Login failed for user 'xxx'. This session has been assigned a tracing ID of 'c5ee0ff2-5ac7-4aae-9083-
It was then followed by an hour of:
The request failed with HTTP status 502: Bad Gateway.
The SQL Server is configured to Allowed Services: Winodws Azure Services: Yes.
The rejected IP addresses kept occurring, with the IP addresses in the range of 10.62.x.y. Are these Microsoft IPs on the internal Azure network?
Is there something wrong with the Azure backend?
