All the Database objects needed for sync are not loaded in SQL DataSync

I was trying to Sync my database from one SQL Database to another. My source db has around 150 objects and which all are not loading in to the management portal , hence I couldn't able to complete DataSync. But when I tried to delete 100 database objects and load the source it is working fine. Could anybody help me to solve this issue or what could be the reason for this error.

Hi,

Thanks for posting!

I guess those article (http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/manage/services/sql-databases/getting-started-w-sql-data-sync/ &&http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh456371.aspx ) may help you.

And according to your description, it seems the issue is related to Azure SQL DataBase , I will move this thread to Azure SQL DataBase Discussions forums to get a better support.

Thanks

HI, ArunKumar,

Based on your description, you most likely hit a known issue for data sync serivce (regression issue)

that when your db schema size is big which could fail to be loaded from portal.

Please refer to http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsazure/en-US/9c679a74-9a7c-48e7-b4c9-95f6f7cfafd9/sql-azure-data-sync-refresh-schema-not-working#a7b032dd-fc6d-4a96-9333-7c0d33bc3670

And the fix is scheduled to roll out by mid of Oct.

To confirm your issue is the same, you can resetup your sync group to repro the issue and tell me the sync group id to check.

Regards,

Jarod Zhu

try this workaround. if your destination db is empty, script all the tables you want to sync from the source db. pre-create the tables in the destination database, then use the destination db to define your sync group.

Thanks for your reply. The Sync Group Id is 84ca1e19-2709-48de-8d45-c10f343e304b_West Europe.

Please check the same and let us know.
