Alert / Logging Admin Logins
Hello All, I have a situation here, our windows domain admin password is shared between couple of people. Which included me, my boss and DBA. Now, the issues is that our DBA just messes up things and then leave it to me to sort out. I am the only IT admin in the company. I am not either sure if he reads all the corporate emails from the exchange server as well. My question is that is there anyway I can log the admin logging into the domain. This will help me in keeping the eye on this DBA as he shouldn't be accessing the stuff belonging to IT. Or anyother method for auditing his access will be appreciated Secondly, the very person runs CPU intensive queries on SQL Server 2008 in day time and clogs up the database for other people. Is there any kind of monitoring I can setup so that all the queries he run on a machine are logged somewhere? Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks

There you can get more effective suggestion by other experts who familiar with the SQL Server product. SQL Server Security http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/sqlsecurity/threads Regarding the auditing of Domain Admin log-in, I don't think it can be realized by using AD auditing. We can get detail information regarding AD DS Auditing from the article below: AD DS Auditing Step-by-Step Guide http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731607(v=ws.10).aspx Regards Kevin
