Admin permissions failed: Access denied
I have a sbs 2008. it has a domain and exchage server running on it. I have 2 drive partitions C and D. There are a few folders in the D drive that are shared for users in the domain. Now something has changed in the sharing permissions and i am not able to access the shares in the D drive. It says permission denied. I have files in these folders only which is also used by the domain local users. the drive shows the files have occupied 10 gb of files, but when i select all these folders and see the properties i can see only 3 gb of data. also one of the shared folder shows 0 kb in size which is hard to believe. How do i resolve this issue. I have tried to use the sbs console to share these listed folders but to no avail. Kindly advise me. I also see that as ab Administrator I have not inherited the sharing when i click on the advanced tab. Kindly help me resolve this issue.

Are you able take ownership of the files (Folder Properties > Security > Owner)? If you are, I suggest taking a look at takeown if you do not want to go through each file/folder manually. Takeown: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753024(WS.10).aspxA+, Net+, Sec+, MCP, MCTS, VCP4
