Adding groups to groups across separate domains
Hi,
I'm wondering how to go about adding a global group from DomainA to a domain local group in DomainB. The configuration is as follows:
1. There is a one way non-transitive trust in place where DomainB trusts DomainA
2. I'm in DomainB and I want to add a group from DomainA (DomA_Grp) to a domain local group in DomainB (DomB_Grp)
3. The admin in DomainA has created an admin ID for me in DomainA
How do I add DomA_Grp to DomB_Grp? In AD Users and Computers I select "Connect to Domain" but when I connect to DomainA that way i only see DomainA list. Maybe a better question is How do I get the AD Users and Computers Interface to look across both domains
when I go into the properties of DomB_Grp and click "Add"?
Thanks for your help

Hi
if you are trying to add a group in Domain A to a group in Domain B, try and right click DomB_Grp in domain B, click properties, then click members, then add, then
click Location and change the location to Domain A..
enter the name DomA_Grp and click check names see if it finds the group then ok everything.
I do not think you can browse through both domains at the same time but only one at a time which is why when u connect to Domain A, you only see Domain A list, and when you click location, you can only select one location to work with at a
time..
Hope this helps you out :) Please post up if you have any success or any further queries.tech-nique
