Adding computer accounts listed in CSV file to a Security Group
Good morning all, I have a list of computer accounts in my district that either have no antivirus at all, or have the wrong version (SOPHOS, AVG, PANDA, were moving to FEP but with no SCCM now). What Im wanting to do is take these CSV files containing these computers based on what category theyre in and put them into security groups (i.e. HS-Win7-NoAV, HS-WinXP-NoAV) and then apply group policies strictly to these security groups to either 1) uninstall whatever version of antivirus they have and then install FEP or 2) install FEP, period. I do not know how to take this CSV file with computer names and make them show up in a particular Security Group, so I ask if any of you are aware of how to successfully do this, I am at your mercy and would appreciate it greatly. My end goal is to take my mix environment of WinXP/Win7 machines that have SOPHOS/PANDA/AVG and uninstall all previous versions and deploy FEP client. If there is a better way to do this, Im also all ears ;) We do not have SCCM at this time. Thank you all

Hi, Regarding the current issue, if you want to import many computer accounts to an AD Security Group, we could try to achieve the target via PowerShell. The following articles are about importing bulk users to AD from CSV, we could make it as a reference. Import Bulk Users to Active Directory http://blogs.technet.com/b/bettertogether/archive/2011/01/09/import-bulk-users-to-active-directory.aspx Bulk Add Users to an AD Security Group from a CSV http://blog.thesysadmins.co.uk/bulk-add-users-to-an-ad-security-group-from-a-csv.html Regarding the PowerShell related issue, I suggest wed better ask in the PowerShell forum.
