Adding a new computer to a network
How do I add a new computer to our network? I have a Windows Server 2003 with 6 workstations. I purchased a new workstation and am trying to install it myself. I have managed to get everything up and running except I cannot see the new computer on the Server as a mapped drive. I also cannot add the new computer to our TrendMicro client/server security agent console. I fear that it may not be protected. I am connected to the network from the new computer, however I cannot add a new user account, I am forced to sign in as administrator. Any suggestions? Your help is appreciated.

Hello Is your windows 2003 server a domain controller? if so you will have to join the new workstation to the domain, by right clicking My computer, properties, change domain, and enter your domain name.Isaac Oben MCITP:EA, MCSE

Adding to a network or Active Directory? What are you trying to accomplish? Do you have an AD domain? Please paste the IPCONFIG/ALL result from the new machine and server here.
