Hello, Thank you for your post here. For the further investigation of the DNS issues in domain, I'd like to suggest you to run the Netdiag diagnostic tool that helps to isolate networking and connectivity problems by performing a series of tests to determine the state of your domain client. You can get the Netdiag tool in MPS report: Microsoft Product Support's Reporting Tools http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=cebf3c7c-7ca5-408f-88b7-f9c79b7306c0&displaylang=en If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Hi! Did you check the status of DNS server on your Windows 2008 DC? Do you have a PTR record for this new 2K8 DC in reverse DNS zone? This is tipically often forgotten. Then try to do nslookup like this: nslookup internal-client dns-DC-1 nslookup internal-client dns-DC-2 where "internal-client" is FQDN of one of your client computers in AD, dns-DC-1 is the first DC server and dns-DC-2 is the second one. Also be very careful if you use autodetect settings for internet explorer. Clients queries DNS for WPAD record and by default DNS on Windows 2008 blocks this request. Check this article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc441517.aspx Hope this helps, Matjaz
