Add users from trusted domain into group - only showing SAM Account Name and NTDomain

Hi All,

If I add a user to a group using add-adgroupmember or dsmod from a trusted domain I just see SamAccountName and NTDomain, If I add the user from the GUI I get First Name, Last name then the DN of the User as expected.

Does anyone know how to mirror the result of the GUI?

After you add the account the GUI will show the name. The GUI gets the extra info when it displays the members.

I'm not sure what you mean "after you add the account" the example at the bottom arrow of the screenshot is the user from domain b added by ad-adgroupuser...

I have no idea what you are asking. What is ad-adgroupuser?  Is that a function  you have written.

Remote domains may not display all items depending on permissions that you have and other issues.

Sorry I meant add-adgroupmember powershell, also tried dsmodify I.e. Any programmatical way of adding users to groups gives this result...surely nothing to do with permissions as the user from domain b added via gui is ok?
