Hi,Just to confirm, when we Add Roles Wizard, select Web Server (IIS), it will automatically adding IIS Tools feature under Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT), it that right?Anyway to Add IIS Role without adding IIS Tools (part of RSAT)?Thanks

Actually I need documentation telling that If we add IIS Roles it will automatically add IIS Tools features, applies to some other roles/features eg: AD, SMTP etc. I need the documentation for confirmation, because the new server is for working/operational purpose. Unfortunatelly I browse thru e-book but couldn't find the exact sentence.Kindly advice if you have any idea.Thanks,Martin

Hi Martin, Yes, when adding the Web Server (IIS) role, the Web Server (IIS) tools feature will be installed automatically. The Web Server (IIS) tools is installed by a Role Service: IIS Management Console. Before installing Web Server (IIS) role, please uncheck the box before IIS Management Console on the Select Role Services page. Then, the Web Server (IIS) tools feature will not be installed.
